ABSTRACTS , 2022-23 Este conjunto de trabalhos reúne momentos ao longo da minha prática em que oscilo do figurativo para o abstracto, procurando dar forma a emoções expansivas e complexas através do gesto e da cor. Eu vejo o abstracto como uma oportunidade de transcender regras, experimentar materiais, questionar incompatibilidades e as possibilidades visuais que daqui se podem revelar. Nenhuma imagem é premeditada, registando algo único que aconteceu naquele momento. O processo abre-se assim à chance, ao acidente e ao espontâneo, permitindo que a imagem se revele através do próprio acto de fazer.
ABSTRACTS , 2022-23 This group of works brings together moments throughout my practice in which I oscillate from the figurative to the abstract, seeking to give form to expansive and complex emotions through gesture and colour. I see abstraction as an opportunity to transcend rules, experiment with materials, question incompatibilities and explore the visual possibilities that may emerge. No image is premeditated, each recording something unique that happened in that moment. The process thus opens itself up to chance, accident, and spontaneity, allowing the image to reveal itself through the very act of making.
